January 2014, Winter: Kyoto, Japan
We stayed here - Nagomi Ryokan Yuu for one night, as we're in Kyoto for only 2 days. The price differs on room types and also seasons. Everything is the cheapest during winter including this ryokan, we picked the room that caters 4 people, and we paid about RM100 per head. I picked this ryokan as it offers the traditional Japanese experience, while still provides very comfortable and modern facilities like the washing machine, kitchen appliances, wifi, tv, and of course modern bath and toilet with warm water. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, complete with their traditional attires. They also offered kimono try-on experience and of course we grabbed the opportunity as well. I miss Kyoto the most out of my trip in Japan :')
